Compression fitting for steel pipes

(VTr.803.N) When mounting temporary steel pipe circuits and repair of permanent ones, the possibility is often absent of performance welding or tapping works. In such cases it is convenient to use compression fittings of VTr.800 which ensure connection of two steel water and gas pipes using two wrenches.

The body and the coupling nut of the fittings are made of sanitary brass and nickel-plated, while the clamping ring (the cake) is produced of tempered stainless steel, which substantially outstrips the material of the connected pipe by hardness.

Closing in course of coupling nut winding, the ring cuts into the pipe wall, thus reliably fixing the connector. Via a brass washing, the cake impacts a thick O-ring made of EPDM Sh70 which tightly compresses the pipe and pressurizes the connection.

Compression fittings can be various; they may be multi-used, however, they should be accessible for maintenance (they should not be embedded).Angular movements up to 3° are allowed.

Connectors of VTr.800 series are purposed for systems with working temperature up to 90 °С and operational pressure up to 8 bar.

VTr.803.N model is a straight compression fitting for steel pipes.
