Anti-Idle-Run relay

(VT.CRS6.02) The Anti-Idle-Run relay switched OFF the pump in case of fall in water pressure below the set level (usually this happens in case of absence of water in the pipeline), which helps protect the equipment against over-heating and premature failure. The pump can only be restarted by pressing the button on the relay cover and when there is sufficient water pressure. The factory default for OFF is 0.1 bar and for ON is 0.7 bar. The user can set other values within the following range – 0.05 -0.6 and 0.7-1.0 bar, respectively.

The relay’s contacts are made of a silver-nickel alloy, which does not oxidize under humid conditions. This device can be used under conditions of up to 8-% humidity. Cover safety class – IP44. Maximum temperature of pumped medium – 40°С. Connector thread – female (coupling nut), ¼”. Feed voltage – 220 V (50 Hz). Maximum switching current – 16 (in case of inductive load – 10) A. The switching capacity can be increased by using a magnetic starter. This will also enable the device for use with three-phase pumps.

The relay must be connected to the discharge line of the pump, ahead of the first water discharge fitting. The simultaneous use of this relay and pressure relay VT.CRS5.02 provides complete automation and safety of the water pump.
