Threaded fitting: Detachable shutoff connector

(VT.538.N) The detachable shutoff-connectors VT.538 enables the partition of internal pipeline of a building or structure into portions, so that it can be repaired without totally shutting off the supply line. Main use of the fitting: connection of expansion tank to the heating and HWS pipeline. The fitting consists of two semi-bodies, connected to each other with a coupling nut. All three parts are made of nickel-plated sanitary class brass brand CW617N. There is an EPDM gasket ring in the middle of the semi-bodies. The item comprises of two opposite to each other directed spring check valves with brass (CW614N) valve spindle. When the coupling nut is fully tightened the valves are in open position, not hampering the flow of the working medium. In case of unscrewing of the coupling nut the valve spindles under the spring pressure close the holes in the semi-bodies. The detachable shutoff connector, VT.538, is designed to work under nominal pressure of 16 bar and testing pressure of 24 bar. Maximum working temperature: 90°С. The working medium can be heated for short intervals of time to 110°С.
