Pipes for water heated floors

VALTEC offers multilayer cross-linked polyethylene PEX-b – metal-polymer and PEX-EVOH pipes for water heated floors. Cross-linking provides for the occurrence of voluminous bonds between the linear polyethylene molecules and gives the pipes extra thermal resistance and mechanical strength. Except for that the X-linked polyethylene pipes exhibit lower hydraulic resistance, are moss free, are not prone to corrosion, do not conduct electricity, and are resistant to corrosive effects of cement and other construction mediums. The VALTEC metal-polymer (metal-plastic) pipes also exhibit high levels of strength, ability to retain shape, given by the plumber, have relatively low coefficient of linear heat-caused extension, which is why these pipes are more suitable than any other kind for laying in concrete coating of the heated floor. The aluminium layer in the metal-plastic pipes does not conduct oxygen molecules into the heating medium, which is very important for the heating equipment. In VALTEC PEX-EVOH pipes a layer of polyethylene (EVOH) serves as anti-diffusion protection. The high levels of strength of the glued joints of the layers of VALTEC metal-polymer pipes and cross-linked polyethylene pipes VALTEC PEX-EVOH guarantee no stratification of the pipes even in case of repeated temperature fluctuations. Life of the plastic and VALTEC metal-polymer pipes: minimum 50 years. The VALTEC pipes are widely used in built-in heating systems in residential and commercial facilities and open spaces etc.
