Cross-linked polyethylene pipes (PE-X Pipes)

The material for VALTEC PEX-EVOH pipes is derived from high-density polyethylene through silane cross-linking as per the B-Monosil (PE-Xb) and Peroxide (PE-Xa) methods. The cross-linking (lacing) provides for the occurrence of voluminous bonds between the linear molecules of polyethylene and gives the pipes enhanced thermal resistance and mechanical strength. Except for that the cross-linked polyethylene pipes VALTEC PE-X/EVOH feature low hydraulic resistance, are not moss prone, resistant to corrosion, do not introduce harmful substances within the working range of temperatures, are non-conductive (electrically), noise and vibration absorbent and withstand medium freezing without destruction of carrier. The structure of VALTEC PE-X pipes includes a layer of polyvinyl-ethylene (EVOH), which helps prevent the diffusion of oxygen molecules into the heating medium. The VALTEC PE-X/EVOH polyethylene pipes are meant for use in cold and hot water supply circuits, including drinking water, as well as for heating systems with working temperatures of up to 80°C (at working pressure of 6 bar). The cross-linked VALTEC PE-X/EVOH pipes conform to the 4th operational class as per GOST R 53630 and are widely used in water based floor heating systems. The PE-X/EVOH pipes are installed using VALTEC crimp fittings. The estimated lifespan of VALTEC cross-linked polyethylene pipes: 50 years.
